Percy French - One of the most popular songwriters and entertainers in Ireland during his lifetime.

Dr Douglas Hyde - The first President of the Republic of Ireland and founder of the Gaelic League.

John McGahern - Award-winning novelist, author of 'Amongst Women'.

Chris O'Dowd - Established actor in Britain and Ireland for his role in the IT Crowd and a rising star in Hollywood after his performance in 'Bridesmaids'.

Maureen O'Sullivan - Known as 'Ireland's first film star', O'Sullivan played Jane in the 'Tarzan' series of the 1930s and was the mother of Mia Farrow.

Sir William Wilde - Renowned ear and eye surgeon, writer and father of Oscar Wilde.
